The aig+c is the proud sponsor of this year's Morris Lecture, organized by the Lakehead University Department of Philosophy. Queen's University philosopher Will Kymlicka will present a public lecture on "Religion and Multiculturalism: New Challenges and New Dilemmas." The event is free to the public, and will take place on Friday,November 27, 2009 at 7:00 in ATAC 1001 of the Lakehead campus.
Professor of Philosophy and Canada Research Chair in Political Philosophy at Queen's University, Dr. Will Kymlicka is one of the foremost political theorists in the world today. Dr. Kymlicka's research interests focus on issues of democracy and diversity, and in particular on models of citizenship and social justice within multicultural societies. His work has been translated to 32 languages, and has received several awards - most recently the 2009 Premier's Discovery Award in the Social Sciences.
